Was at Kaffebrenneriet in Universitetsgata for The Big Coffee Day today. The knowledgable and humble Synøve Nesøen roasted while juggling customers and questions. Impressive! This Coffee Day is a great way to spread the “gospel” of specialty coffee to the masses. Kudos to Kaffebrenneriet!

Going through some old green bean samples that we’ve recieved I found this bag. The little black dots are living bugs!!
Fortunately the zipper is intact!

So I quickly put together this short video on coffee in producing countries. Hopefully it’ll give a quick impression on what goes on “down there”. Sorry for the quality, it’s shot on a consumer DV cam. I’m looking to buy a stills camera with a good lens and high quality HD video capabilities. Any suggestions?

Right now I’m drinking a cup of a sample roast I did on Friday of Los Planes natural. A wonderfully clean Pacamara from El Salvador. Fruity!!
Dude, I’m super impressed with how far your knowledge of coffee has come, and what you’ve accomplished. Also, I shudder at the thought of telling you what I’m drinking right now. I’ll just say it’s cold and wasn’t made anytime recently, and I’m disguising the sub-par taste with vanilla-flavored creamer.
